This small Self-Paced Online Course puts its focus on the science that supports the effects of yoga.


First you will learn basic knowledge about the life phase of young adults. On the one hand this is to get a clearer understanding about young adulthood from a developmental psychology view and on the other hand as a warming up towards the articles you are going to analyse.


In the second part of this course you' ll read two articles. Article 1 is about the effect of Ujjayi Pranayama on attention and anxiety and Article 2 is about yoga and stress reduction for incoming college students. Take your time with this course, especially with the articles.


You will be asked questions about these subjects and you'll receive a 4 hour Certificate for CONTINUING EDUCATION within the International Yoga Alliance. 

After this course you are able to:

  • Motivate the benefits of yoga on college students supported by research
  • Use a different approach of methodology in your yogaclass
